Iced Matcha Latte
It's no secret that matcha is my make-at-home choice for midday caffeination. I won't bore you with the details of why it's superior (you can google it), especially during the middle of the day, but I will share of my favorite way to make it at home.
INGREDIENTS
3/4 - 1 tsp matcha (here's one of my favorite)
3 tbs hot water
6 oz milk or dairy alternative
2 teaspoons sugar/maple syrup - or - 2 oz sweetened chai concentrate
Ice, if needed
Ground cinnamon, optional
METHOD
To a small bowl or mug, add the matcha, hot water, and honey if you're using it, and use an electric whisk or milk frother to blend the matcha until nicely blended and frothy. You want to blend well to avoid any clumps in the matcha since they're extremely bitter.
Fill a glass with ice, add the blended matcha followed by the milk of your choice. Add the chai concentrate at this point if you're using it, and stir.
Sprinkle with some ground cinnamon if desired

Chai concentrate is a concentrated liquid with all the amazing flavors of masala chai like cinnamon and cardamom. You can easily find it online, or at specialty grocery stores. I love using this one.
