Dutch Baby
Serves 4-5
INGREDIENTS
2 eggs
1/2 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Powdered sugar, for serving
Whipped cream, for serving
Mixed berries, for serving
Maple Syrup, for serving
METHOD
Preheat the oven to 425°F. Place a ~10 inch cast iron pan or oven-safe skillet into the oven to preheat.
Add the milk, vanilla, sugar, salt, and flour to a blender. Blend on high for 15 seconds or until completely smooth.
Carefully remove the preheated pan from the oven and melt the butter directly in the hot pan. Once the butter has melted, pour in the batter and carefully return to the oven.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until beautifully puffed and golden.
Sift over some powdered sugar, and optionally serve with berries, whipped cream, and maple syrup.
